I was looking for a different drink in the house and thought about milk. Little story time I didn’t check when it expired and was so excited to eat cereal. I was about to eat it but then smelled it and was so upset. I had to throw away my cereal.
  1. Was it fun? Frustrating? Do you like to draw? Will you ever try again?

At the beginning it was a bit frustrating because I have no experience in drawing at all. I do enjoy drawing little doodles or sketches and find this helps me release stress. I had no clue where to start and if I would re-start, I would go back to redo it and realized I wanted to start over again. I kept being acting like this for a few days until a classmate asked me if I wanted to join a zoom call. I started to feel better as we talked while showing each other how we would improve our drawings. I would do this again even though it frustrates me. In a sense, I am able to distract myself from my day to day life.

My hands look a little chunky but it’s all good. I think this was my favorite sketch I did.
  1. Do you think if you practiced for 100 hours, or 1,000, that you would get a lot better?

I believe that practicing would help dramatically, but I would need to learn the basics first. I would need to learn/study to understand how to draw properly. Once I gain this information I would be able to apply all the new knowledge to my drawings.

These are two drawings on one paper. I was able to pick up some flowers on my walk and really liked the way my sleeves looked with the petals. On my way back from the walk I found the other flowers (located on the right) next to my neighbors house. I decided to sit down and just draw and was able to have a nice conversation with my neighbor. (Obviously 6 feet apart, probably more).
  1. What is your major? Can you think of ways that simple sketching could be useful in your major?

My major is Business Management. I will be able to have the abilities to create a new product’s design or improve the said item. I would design new logos for companies and even draw out the arrangement of new offices. When taking notes I would use small sketches to remind me of the main focus, along with being able to use these in diagrams.

The Yakult isn’t actually this big they are tinnier but I did a zoomed version of this. I did this so I could write the descriptions of the drink.
  1. Is Drawing a Language? Can we say things with drawings that are hard to say with words?

Drawing could be considered a language because just like other languages you are able to speak/express yourself through your picture. I know I will be able to understand a topic better if I am exposed to an image. In images you are able to visually see what a person is feeling without the need for words.

I wasn’t sure how to do my hair but I gave it a shot. This didn’t turn out as bad as I thought it would be. I’m honestly surprised that I was able to do better than I expected.
