1.What was your original vision?

I had envisioned for it to be a bit messier and I really believed that it was all going to get wrinkled up and just rip. I also thought that I would not find many images that would resonate with me or have some sort of meaning. I also believed that this would end up taking more time before starting the project.

  1. How did your project differ from the original vision?

I was able to get everything on my board with no problem. I also found a lot of images which made it difficult for me to choose what I wanted to have on my board. I was able to move different images around and get a feel as to what I wanted to display on my board rather than being limited on the images I wanted to show. I did end up losing some images but I love the way it turned out.

  1. Do you think your project is a success? Why or why not?

I believe this was a success because I really liked the way this turned out to be. I am excited to be able to hang this on my wall in my room to decorate it more! I had lots of fun making my board! I was able to destress as I had a midterm on Wednesday.

  1. Do you think your project got weaker due to compromises you had to make to complete it? Or stronger due to improvements as you executed the work and found new ideas? Or both? Please describe!

I think my project was weaker because I had to find some time where I was not busy with my schedule. I ended up having about 20 minutes to do my board. I feel like I would improve by giving myself more time and finding a theme in the proces.

  1. What ideas, concepts, or artistic abilities were you trying to explore in this project? Did you achieve your goals? Do you think your piece communicates what you wanted it to?

I wanted to explore my artistic abilities in being able to piece together my thoughts onto a canvas. I wanted to test how I would be able to do this without second guessing myself. I wanted to prove to myself that I would be create a piece that I would be proud to display in my room. I believe that many would be confused looking at it but there is an overall positive message that I wanted to display.

  1. What would you do differently if you did this project again?

I would give myself more time and add a layer to prevent the magazines form falling off. I would want to share this with others as well and maybe make this a group project.
